MISSION

AND

PURPOSE

The Foundation was established in 1979 as a Non-profit Public Benefit Corporation.  Its primary purpose, as stated in its Articles of Incorporation, is promotion and support of art in California.  Sale of artwork by Feitelson and Lundeberg supports the Foundation’s purposes and underwrites its activities.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Over the course of almost forty years, the Foundation has reflected its mission in the following ways: sponsoring artist-mentor grants taught by noted Southern California artists; establishing a scholarship at UCLA; initiating an artist grant to minority applicants at Los Angeles Municipal Gallery; hosting seminars and panels; providing access to scholars of the Foundation’s collection of artwork, photographs and papers; gifting of artwork to public and university collections and publishing with an emphasis on donating volumes to scholars and libraries.  Monographs on each artist were published jointly by the Foundation and Louis Stern Fine Arts in 2016. Its most ambitious project to date, Catalogues Raisonnés on each artist, is well underway.
